Nowadays everything is just a click away – Insta story, food order, ChatGPT 😄
Yet I don’t know why, the heart feels so empty inside.
This has become even more serious in America.
More than 1 in 5 people are struggling with mental illness – and many don’t even know what is going on inside them.
There are smiles in selfies, laughing emojis on statuses,
but the truth is that millions of people are fighting things like anxiety, depression, burnout, PTSD inside.
Me (a little slow and confused):
“Neha… I don’t know why, but these days despite everything, I feel very empty inside.”
Neha (holding my hand, lovingly):
"It is absolutely normal to feel like this, Ankit. Something or the other keeps going on inside everyone... we are all humans."
Me:
"Everything looks fine outside, everything is going on... but inside it seems like there is a storm."
Neha:
"This is the real thing about mental health - it is not visible, but everything goes into turmoil inside."
Me:
"I wish people talked about this openly..."
Neha (smiling):
"Then we should start."
Let’s understand the matter directly and in our own style, without beating around the bush:
Everyone posts their best moments - and we wonder why our life is not like that.
This comparison gradually fills the emptiness inside a person.
"9 to 5" job, then household chores, and on top of that side hustle…
There is not enough time left in the day to just breathe.
Despite having everything – friends, family, social media – the heart still feels lonely.
Because the connection is not with the screen, but with the heart.
Bills, loans, inflation – a never-ending loop… and this makes the brain tired every day.
Children are seen laughing in college, but in reality exams, future and family pressure are breaking them from inside.
Many people's wounds are so old that they are no longer visible – but affect them every day.
To be honest, healing is not an overnight thing.
But yes, small, honest steps can definitely be taken to start.
Therapy is nothing to be ashamed of.
In fact, it shows that you care about yourself.
Sometimes all one needs is someone to listen to them.
A person who simply says, “I am with you.”
Asking about yourself is not selfish, it is important.
Put your phone down on the weekend… believe me, your brain will thank you.
Walk a little, dance, do anything… it gives happiness to both the body and the mind.
You don't need to please everyone every time. Your own peace is more important.
If you are reading this and feel something heavy in your heart… listen – you are not alone.
Your feelings are valid. Your pain is real. And your story matters.
There is hope. There is a way. And there are people who really care.
And we are one of them.
Why wait for a big movement?
We are becoming the generation that can say –
"I am not okay… and it is okay to say that."
Let’s stop hiding this pain – and start handling it lovingly, intelligently.
